Hampshire: Ryan Stevenson and Brad Taylor affirm retirements

Brad Taylor and Ryan Stevenson each did not make a first-team look for Hampshire this summer time

Hampshire bowlers Ryan Stevenson and Brad Taylor have confirmed their retirements from skilled cricket following the top of the 2021 season.

Seamer Stevenson, 29, and off-spinner Taylor, 24, have each been beset by accidents in latest seasons.

Taylor turned the youngest participant for 135 years to make his Hampshire debut when he confronted Lancashire in a 40-over match in 2013, aged 16 and 154 days.

Proper-armer Stevenson made his debut for the county in 2015.

A former England Below-19 captain, Taylor’s final first-class look got here in June 2018, along with his final white-ball appearances in August 2019.

Stevenson, who beforehand performed minor counties cricket for Devon, took a career-best 4-70 within the Bob Willis Trophy towards Middlesex in August 2020.
