Tranmere Rovers-Stevenage: League Two sport off at Prenton Park after Storm Arwen harm

Tranmere Rovers have needed to postpone Saturday’s League Two dwelling fixture with Stevenage for security causes.

Storm Arwen has induced in a single day harm at Prenton Park, together with a part of the primary stand roof being blown off.

A membership assertion stated: “Sadly, right now’s sport in opposition to Stevenage has needed to be postponed.

“A small part of the primary stand roof has been blown off and a major quantity of roof signage and guttering has been blown down.”

The assertion added: “The SAG (Security Advisory Group) have suggested that it’s not secure to proceed with the sport till the roof has been correctly inspected.

“While this can be a large disappointment, the protection of followers is after all everybody’s major concern.”

No new date has but been chosen for the sport between Micky Mellon’s Tenth-placed Rovers and Stevenage, who lie twenty first.
